The judges saw this as a strong example of using existing technology in a different way to achieve significant carbon, cost and programme savings through increased efficiency and reduced material consumption, while also mitigating risks to the local environment and public stakeholders. It was particularly notable that the approach is set to be adopted on future works and is being recognised as best practice by the client, which remarked on how positive it was to feel part of a genuine partnership.
