VolkerSite Services Sponsors CancerCare's Cross Bay Half Marathon
VolkerSite Services was proud to be the headline sponsor of CancerCare's Cross Bay Half Marathon, which made a successful return this year after a ten-year break.
The event brought together hundreds of participants from across the region to complete the crossing of Morecambe Bay while raising vital funds for CancerCare.
As headline sponsor, VolkerSite Services was delighted to support an event that brings together local communities while helping raise money for an important cause. In addition to our sponsorship, the team provided a site cabin for organisers to use throughout the day, helping support the smooth running of the event and providing a valuable base for event operations.
We were also proud to have two members of the VolkerSite Services team take part in the half marathon. Completing the challenging route is a fantastic achievement!
Thanks to the generosity of participants, sponsors and supporters, the event raised more than £55,000 for CancerCare. The funds will help the charity continue providing essential support to adults and children affected by cancer, life-shortening illnesses and bereavement across North Lancashire and South Cumbria.
