VolkerGround Engineering has recently mobilised to Elmer Beach in West Sussex as part of ongoing coastal works.
Working within a limited tidal window, the team mobilised two of our 38-tonne excavators, including pre-auger equipment to install a marker buoy just beyond the breakwaters during low tide.
The works provided an opportunity to trial the installation approach ahead of the next phase, helping to de-risk the tidal working programme. The team will return to site to install a further seven marker buoys.
