VolkerStevin welcomes our 2026 graduates and apprentices
This week we held an induction week for 24 apprentices and eight graduates joining the business in a range of site-based roles. As we continue to invest in the next generation of talent, these new starters bring fresh perspectives, ideas and skills to our business.
Our early careers programme is designed to support their development providing opportunities to learn on the job, gain practical experience and grow alongside experienced mentors.
Throughout the week, the cohort attended sessions delivered by departments from across the business. By meeting colleagues from different teams, they gained a wider understanding of how we operate, and the collaboration required to successfully deliver our projects.
As well as meeting members of our operational team, the cohort had the opportunity to visit the Kendal Flood Risk Management Scheme, a live project that is helping to better protect the local community from flooding. During the visit, they spent time with our engineers, learning about the activities involved in delivering the project and how work is planned and carried out on site.
The group also attended the Flower Bowl for a team-building activity, helping them build relationships with one another and make connections across the business.
We look forward to seeing our graduates and apprentices develop at VolkerStevin as we continue to invest in the next generation of construction professionals.
