Kendal Flood Risk Management Scheme team raise £5,000 for men's mental health charity

Our team working on the Kendal Flood Risk Management Scheme, on behalf of the Environment Agency, have raised £5,000 for Andy's Man Club, a men's suicide prevention charity. The team chose Andy's Man Club as their charity of the year and raised the money in just nine months.

The funds were generated through a variety of activities including cake sales, raffle sweepstakes for the Grand National and Golf Masters, dress down Fridays, donations from VolkerStevin, and a walk across Morecambe Bay involving staff from the Environment Agency, VolkerStevin and Jacobs.

“Andy’s Man Club was chosen as our charity of the year by a vote of those working on the Kendal scheme. Everyone has got behind the fundraising. Our families also got involved, taking part in the guided walk across Morecambe Bay one Saturday in the summer. We are delighted to have raised so much for such an important charity.”

"This is an amazing amount to have been raised for us. We have 13 Andy's Man Clubs across Cumbria and the number keeps growing."
