Kendal Flood Risk Management Scheme is blooming!
We’re pleased to announce that several reaches of the Kendal Flood Risk Management Scheme have been recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society’s “It’s Your Neighbourhood” initiative—part of Britain in Bloom (Cumbria area)!
Thanks to the incredible dedication of the VolkerStevin and Environment Agency teams, the scheme earned awards ranging from level 2 to level 5 across the below areas in Kendal:
- Castle Street Fern Garden
- Beezon Fields
- VolkerStevin site compound
- Mintsfeet
- Somervell Gardens
- Flood Scheme Information Hub
These awards are a testament to the environmental care, community spirit, and horticultural excellence woven throughout the scheme.
