VolkerStevin wins Future Resilience Award at ICE Northwest Awards
VolkerStevin is proud to have won the Future Resilience Award at the ICE Northwest Awards for the Lower Risk Debris Screens project.
Delivered through the Collaborative Delivery Framework (CDF) in partnership with the Environment Agency, JBA and Cheetham Hill Construction Limited, the project upgraded ageing debris screen infrastructure in flood-prone watercourses and residential areas, improving flood protection while minimising disruption.
Through strong collaboration, sustainable design and careful material selection, the team created long-lasting, low-maintenance assets that enhance resilience and deliver tangible benefits for local communities.
The judges praised the project for its collaborative approach and positive influence on the client brief, highlighting its success in delivering future-proof infrastructure.
