VolkerStevin celebrates multiple wins at CCS National Site Awards
VolkerStevin is celebrating significant success at the 2026 Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) National Site Awards, with multiple projects recognised for their commitment to high standards across construction.
Leading the achievements, the Pevensey Star Inn Gates Replacement project was awarded the prestigious ‘Most Considerate Constructor’ title – the highest honour presented by the CCS. The project was one of only eight sites across the UK to receive this top-tier award, recognising excellence in community engagement, workforce wellbeing, environmental performance and overall site standards.
The accolade follows an outstanding performance on site, including achieving a perfect CCS score of 50, demonstrating best practice across all aspects of delivery.
This latest recognition continues a strong track record for VolkerStevin, with the business achieving the ‘Most Considerate Constructor’ award for three consecutive years:
- 2024 – Southsea Coastal Scheme (delivered by VSBW – a VolkerStevin and Boskalis Westminster joint venture)
- 2025 – Rother Tidal Wall East
- 2026 – Pevensey Star Inn Gates Replacement
In addition to this award, several other VolkerStevin projects were recognised at the 2026 CCS National Site Awards, achieving gold, silver and bronze ratings across multiple sites.
- Kendal FRMS - Gold
- Preston Flood Risk Management Scheme - Gold
- Soldiers Point - Gold
- Southsea Coastal Scheme – Frontage 3 - Gold
- Littleborough/Rochdale FRMS Phase 1b - Silver
- Appleby FRMS - Bronze
The CCS awards are among the construction industry’s most respected, recognising projects that go above and beyond to positively impact communities, protect the environment and improve the image of the sector.
The recognition is the result of a collaborative effort across the project teams and supply chain, highlighting VolkerStevin’s continued commitment to delivering infrastructure projects responsibly and to the highest standards.
