New Wear Footbridge team goes the extra mile for local charity Love, Amelia

Five members of our New Wear Footbridge team recently took part in the Sunderland City 10k Run, raising an impressive £375 for a local baby bank charity, Love, Amelia.

Love, Amelia supports children who are experiencing poverty and hardship across Tyne and Wear and County Durham by providing essential new and preloved items, including clothing, toys and equipment. Our team has proudly supported the charity in a number of ways, from volunteering at their baby bank to taking part in their festive ‘Giving Tree’ campaign, an initiative which runs over the festive period to help families who are struggling.

This time, the team participated in one of the North’s largest running events to raise money for this vital cause. Our star runner was Harry McLaughlin, Graduate Engineer, who finished with an impressive time of 59 minutes and 54 seconds.

After the race, the team celebrated their achievement with a well-earned Sunday dinner at a local restaurant.

Well done to everyone involved!
