Environment Agency’s Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs visits our site at Pevensey Bay
Last week marked Flood Action Week, an annual campaign launched by the Environment Agency to raise awareness about flood preparedness. The initiative encourages the public to check their flood risk, sign up for flood warnings, and understand the immediate steps they can take to reduce the devastating impacts of flooding on homes, families, and livelihoods.

During this week, we were honoured to welcome Emma Reynolds, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to our site at Pevensey Bay.
We’re supporting the Environment Agency with the delivery of this crucial coastal defence scheme that will protect 15km of coastline, safeguard up to 18,000 properties and help preserve local heritage and wildlife.
During her visit, Emma met members of the VolkerStevin team and saw firsthand the critical work being carried out. Her visit highlighted the importance of long-term coastal resilience and the collaborative effort driving this major infrastructure project.
