VolkerStevin supports Chorley Help the Homeless

Employees from VolkerStevin recently made donations for Chorley Help the Homeless, to help support families over the Christmas period, a time which can be challenging for many.

Chorley Help the Homeless are an independent charity, local to Preston, who supports those at risk of or affected by being homeless in the Borough of Chorley.

The charity also provides a drop-in foodbank, The Gateway, where people can get food parcels, toiletries and small household items. The volunteers provide a warm and welcoming space where they also offer help and advice to those in need in the community. Chorley Help the Homeless, as a small independent local charity, relies entirely on donations from the community and grant funding.

It was great to see so many people get involved to support this fantastic charity. The foodbank donations were used by The Gateway to assemble emergency food parcels.

The volunteers at the Gateway drop-in centre were extremely grateful for the outstanding contribution the team made.

In addition to individual contributions VolkerStevin donated a further £500 to the cause. This contribution will go towards helping those experiencing homelessness and to help prevent homelessness in the community.
