VolkerStevin is pleased to announce that we have been shortlisted for four ICE North West Civil Engineering awards.
The awards celebrate recently completed projects, the region’s civil engineering heritage, individual excellence and progressive practices that encourage diversity within the engineering profession, whilst highlighting the benefits engineers bring to communities across the North West.
Three VolkerStevin projects have been shortlisted for an award this year - Skirting Beck and Whangs Beck Flood Alleviation Scheme for the Environment Agency in the Project of the year over £15m category and both Mode Wheel Sluice Gate No. 4 Replacement for Peel Ports and Low Crosby Flood Risk Management Scheme for the Environment Agency, in the Project of the year under £5m category. Alongside our project nominations, Ellen Griffin, section engineer, has also been shortlisted for the Rising star – Individual category.
An awards dinner will be held on 11 May 2023, at the Midland hotel in Manchester, where the winners will be announced. Good luck to Ellen Griffin and all three of our project teams!
