Southsea Coastal Scheme attend ‘Get Inspired’ event
Some of our team at the Southsea Coastal Scheme recently attended the ‘Get Inspired’ event, at Portsmouth Guildhall.
The event was an opportunity for 11 to 16 year olds to gain a real understanding of the broad range of exciting career paths that the businesses in the local area have to offer through interactive activities.
Our team took along their wave tank, to demonstrate the effectiveness of different types of sea defences and give the students an insight into the work happening at Southsea. They also talked to the students about the varied career paths on offer in the engineering sector and hope to have inspired some future engineers!
It was a great event, visited by many schools in the region, and many students left feeling inspired about their future career choices and opportunities with businesses in the Portsmouth area.
