VolkerStevin partners with Mindflow United to support mental health in construction
VolkerStevin has formed a new partnership with Mindflow United, joining a collective group of leaders across the construction industry committed to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing across the sector.
The partnership was officially launched on 20 April at VolkerStevin’s Kendal FRMS site. During the visit, John Cox, Managing Director of VolkerStevin, was presented with the Mindflow United number 11 shirt by Trevor Steven, CEO of Mindflow.
Through this partnership, Mindflow will deliver its Talk Football, Talk Mental Health sessions across VolkerStevin sites in the North West and beyond. Led by former professional footballers, these sessions use shared experiences to help break down barriers, encourage conversation and normalise discussions around mental health on site.
To mark the launch, Mindflow Ambassador Curtis Woodhouse delivered a Match‑Up session at the Kendal site, engaging with site teams and reinforcing the importance of looking out for one another and speaking up when support is needed.
“The wellbeing of our people is fundamental to the way we operate at VolkerStevin. Joining Mindflow United reinforces our commitment to creating a culture where mental health is treated with the same importance as physical safety, and where people feel supported to speak openly and support one another. We’re proud to be working with Mindflow to help drive positive change across our industry.”
John Cox Managing Director
"We are delighted to welcome VolkerStevin to Mindflow United. Their commitment to prioritising mental health in construction sends a powerful message to the industry, that together, we can create environments where people feel supported, understood, and able to speak openly. The challenges faced across construction are real, but so is the opportunity to make a difference when we come together. Through partnerships like this, we can continue to break down stigma, start important conversations, and ensure that no one feels they have to face things alone."

This partnership builds on VolkerStevin’s ongoing focus on health, safety and wellbeing and forms part of our wider commitment to supporting our workforce and contributing to positive cultural change across construction.
