VolkerTrenchless Solutions support local emergency action group

Recent

The VolkerTrenchless Solutions team has supported a community emergency action group, local to its Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance site, by donating essential items and equipment.

The Parish of Pointon in Lincolnshire suffered flooding during storms earlier this year with a number of residential properties being damaged. In the aftermath of the flooding the Pointon Parish Emergency Plan Working Group was formed, made up of local residents concerned about the impact of the recent floods. The working group will be developing plans to manage any flooding in the future as well as investigating ways to prevent and minimise the impact of future incidents on residents.

The donated items and equipment included sand and sandbags, first aid kits, emergency foil blankets, torches and shovels along with warning signs. In addition to this VolkerTrenchless Solutions also donated two puddle pumps to help protect the most vulnerable properties in the Parish, providing further reassurance to the local residents.

This support continues our commitment to social value and ensuring that we leave a lasting legacy in the communities of the areas we work in.
