GIRI member VolkerStevin is thrilled to announce its recent success in securing funding from the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) for the delivery of the Get It Right Initiative (GIRI) training programmes. GIRI is a group of UK construction industry experts, organisations and businesses actively improving productivity, quality, sustainability and safety in the construction sector by eliminating error. Through this contract with CIBT, VolkerStevin will roll out GIRI training on eight of its key projects. Additionally, the funds enables the business to train 19 internal trainers. These trainers will be instrumental in conducting comprehensive workshops for staff across the business.

This initiative aligns seamlessly with VolkerStevin’s "Quality Ripple" approach, which is underpinned by a strategic commitment to reduce the cost of error by doing things "Right from the start." By investing in its people and processes, the business aims to create ripples of quality and excellence across every aspect of its work.

Duncan Aspin, HSEQS and information management director said: "We are really excited about the opportunity this funding gives us to achieve improvement across the whole life cycle of our projects.”

“It’s the next step in our Quality Ripple journey and we are poised to make the most of this fantastic opportunity, eager to see the positive impacts of GIRI training unfold within VolkerStevin and the broader construction industry.”
