VolkerGround Engineering, our piling specialists, has been installing crest piles in Essex.
The team used two excavators fitted with vibratory Movax hammers to handle and pitch the steel sheet piles. Working simultaneously from an upper and lower platform the team has installed 747, AZ12-770s, raising the crest of the embankment as part of the ongoing flood alleviation measures.
