Preston and South Ribble Flood Risk Management Scheme reinstate flood wall in Broadgate

Recent

Our team working on the Preston and South Ribble Flood Risk Management Scheme have reinstated the final section of flood wall along Broadgate. The section between the new defence and the existing stone masonry wall at Penwortham Old Bridge has now been closed.

In total over 568 linear metres of flood defence has now been installed upstream of Liverpool Road.

Works are also progressing well at Broadgate Gardens, the tarmac has been laid at the viewing platform and tree planting in the area is underway. This section of the scheme will home multiple fruit trees and a seating area.
