VolkerWessels UK shortlisted for seven British Construction Industry Awards (BCIA) 2019

The prestigious BCIA, in partnership with ICE and the New Civil Engineer, has been running for over 32 years and seeks to recognise and reward excellence in project delivery and delivery of outcomes for society.

The Dover Western Docks Revival scheme, a joint venture between VolkerStevin and Boskalis Westminster - VSBW, has been shortlisted in the Transport Project of the Year category.  In addition, two VBA projects, Ipswich Tidal Barrier and Morecambe Wave Wall, have also been shortlisted for the Climate Resilience Project of the Year award.

VolkerFitzpatrick is a finalist in three categories in total; with two projects shortlisted in the Transport Project of the Year category - Ely Southern Bypass and Hackney Wick Station. bmv, a BAM Nuttall, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure and VolkerFitzpatrick joint venture, has also successfully been shortlisted in a further two categories for work on the M5 Oldbury Viaduct.

Following individual site visits, the winners will be announced at the BCI Awards evening on Wednesday 9 October at Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
