VolkerStevin features in multiple case studies in UK Water Projects 2020

Recent

C2V+, a joint venture between VolkerStevin and Jacobs, has featured in three case studies in the 2020 edition of UK Water Projects.

UKWP 2020

Published annually since 1993, UK Water Projects is a well-established publication, widely recognised across the water infrastructure industry for delivering industry news, covering all aspects of water treatment and supply, as well as wastewater treatment and disposal.

The Ellesmere Port Wastewater Treatment Works (WwTW) case study gives a detailed overview of the £24m upgrade works in Cheshire, which will provide a new secondary and tertiary treatment plant along with a sludge thickening system, that will account for the additional biological load expected from Essar’s Stanlow Oil Refinery, and compensate for population growth.

Our second case study covers the £72m Morecambe WwTW Catchment Strategy project. This is the third article published on the Morecambe project, following previous case studies included within the 2018 and 2019 editions of UK Water Projects. This year’s case study details the commissioning and optimisation of the new Nereda treatment process, along with the innovative solution developed to comply with the site’s tidal discharge requirements.

C2V+ also featured in another case study relating to Westnewton WwTW. C2V+ developed the detailed design for the upgrade of the WwTW process, based on a package Nereda plant, to improve the quality of effluent discharging to Westnewton Beck under the National Environment Programme Phase 5.

The 2020 print edition includes up to seventy in-depth case studies, detailing the multi-billion investments of UK water companies and the work being undertaken by all the major consultants and contractors. To find out more about the projects featured, please follow the links below to read the case studies online:
