VolkerStevin features in a special edition of the Environment Agency’s Current Magazine
VolkerStevin has featured in the latest, special edition of Current Magazine, celebrating the success of the past six years of the Environment Agency (EA) Framework and looking ahead to the next six years.
This issue highlights how the EA has been working to better protect 300,000 homes from the effects of flooding and focuses on the £260m of efficiency savings which have been delivered through innovation.
On page 11, you can read about how VolkerStevin, and other supplier partners from the Water and Environment (WEM) Framework, FCRM Operational Framework (FOF) and the Collaborative Delivery Framework (CDF), have supported the Environment Agency teams in its incident response.
Page 12 also shines the spotlight on the Ipswich Tidal Barrier, a £27m scheme completed by VBA, a VolkerStevin, Boskalis Westminster and SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins joint venture, which has improved protection for 1,600 homes and 400 businesses from tidal surges up the River Orwell.
